Joel Vincent joins expanding Acres Insurance Brokers’ team

Acres Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of experienced insurance broker Joel Vincent Cert CII, who joins the team as area lead for the Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire region, as part of on-going national growth plans.

Following fast on the back of the appointment of new managing director Mark Cooper, who took up his new role late in 2024, Mr. Vincent joined Acres at the end of February 2025, and is already building on his vast experience within farm, estate and related commercial insurance services, formed over almost two decades.

Coming from a family farming background, and having studied agriculture at college, Mr. Vincent’s formative career began in banking with Lloyd’s TSB, before at the age of 25 an opportunity arose to move into insurance brokerage.

Over the last 18 years, he has specialised in the insurance industry, with a particular focus on farm policies covering some 400 farmers and estates.

Having developed strong negotiation, management and strategic skills, most significantly connected to agricultural and property insurance, Mr. Vincent joins the Acres Insurance Brokers team at an exciting time of development for the business.

Earlier this year Acres Insurance Brokers revealed ambitious plans to double in size within the next five years, and Mr. Vincent’s appointment is a key component to those growth plans. This includes delivering tailored support to commercial clients and non-farm businesses in related sectors, alongside developing its traditional agricultural and on-farm insurance services.

Based in Lincolnshire, and covering a broad area from as far north as York, down to the edges of Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire, Mr. Vincent explains, “I am really pleased to join Acres at this time of development and growth, fitting perfectly in lock-step with my goals to expand my offering to a new and existing client base.

“While I share the strong agricultural background with the team here at Acres, we are certainly not restricted by this, and it is important that we are able to provide specialist services and advice for associated trades in the commercial environment,” he adds.

Fitting in with the rural community, Mr. Vincent sees his role as supporting the whole supply chain, from machinery dealerships to property developers and merchants, through to all the related businesses that makes the rural economy work.

Acres Insurance Brokers’ managing director Mark Cooper comments, “Joel’s appointment is an important step forward as we look to move to the next level in our development. He brings with him a wealth of insurance experience and pedigree, both within the agricultural sector, and across those related commercial enterprises we see as crucial not only to our own development, but to that of the wider rural economy.

“We are delighted to be working with Joel, and our growing team, as we look to bring something new to the market,” he adds.

Mr. Vincent, who is married with a 21-year-old son, and is a keen participant in rural pursuits and outdoor activities, concludes, “I look forward to continuing to help to drive this next stage of development for Acres Insurance Brokers, and meeting new and familiar faces along the way.”
