A year in the life of Acres Insurance Brokers | Cereals 2020

This time last year, we were standing in a very muddy, very cold field, promoting the start of Acres Insurance Brokers at The Cereals Event. We were an unrecognised, new brand in the agricultural insurance industry. We knew we had a fantastic and incredibly experienced team and we knew that we had grand plans to deliver clients tailored, personal, expert insurance advice and excellent customer service. Little did we know that, a year later, these factors would have been such a recipe for success.


One year on, we have exceeded our targets for numbers of clients and staffing and are regularly being asked to provide quotes for new and existing clients and businesses, for both agricultural and commercial risks. For all clients, an integral part of how we conduct our business is through gaining a full and detailed understanding of our clients’ unique businesses and requirements, regardless of acreage and business size.


Acres Insurance Brokers are independent brokers who work with multiple insurers to ensure that you get the best cover for the best premiums. From our experience, no two businesses are the same. We do not just sell insurance; we provide advice and do the hard work for you. We ensure that your business and its interests are covered to a level that you need and that your policy premiums are not paying for cover that you do not require. Since Cereals last year, we have opened a second branch in Kent alongside our headquarters in Northamptonshire. Fronted by Rollo Parsons and Sarah Attwood, our Kent division has had great success already. Most recently they have secured streamlined and tailored cover for the largest producer of apples and pears in the country and a complex and innovative business, after a 5 month project with them.


As we grow and expand, it is important to us that we continue to provide our clients with exceptional customer service and so we have continued to increase our staff. We now have 13 in our team (and growing!), all of whom have significant experience and many of whom come from agricultural backgrounds, meaning that they have practical farming experience too.


We may be a young business in terms of years, but our track record to date has proven that we provide a professional yet personal service to our clients and strive to become a valuable asset to their businesses.
